Residential Heating Equipment Precision Inspection List

  • Start system - observe operation
  • Remove burners and pilot assembly/pilot switch
    • a. Clean and inspect for cracks/rust
    • b. Check thermocouple for end flaking
  • Inspect heat exchanger for visible cracks and holes, if possible and applicable
  • Vacuum Combustion chambers
  • Inspect exposed wiring and connections, tighten as needed
  • Check air filters for replacing (customer supply or chargeable)
  • Vacuum blower compartment
  • Reinstall burners and pilot assembly. Check for gas leaks. 

Residential Air Conditioning Precision Inspection List

  • Start system - observe operation
  • Check refrigerant Level
  • If low, visually inspect fitting for evidence of leaks
  • Check for vibrations and unusual noise
  • Inspect condenser coil, brush or hose off if needed
  • Lubricate Condenser fan motor if possible. Check for bearing wear.
  • Check fan blade for cracks or bent blades
  • Remove electrical control panel and inspect all connections
  • Check connections to compressor terminal
  • Check all safety controls
  • Check amp draw of compressor and motors
